Exams are the assessment which is held annually to judge the knowledge, skill, aptitude, physical fitness of students and are certified based on their performance. Most of the students feel extremely nervousness while preparing for their exam.
For many students, exams are the most stressful part of their academic year and some have panic attacks and severe nervousness when the finals are around the corner. Students can follow these exam preparation tips to study effectively before exams.
Before starting with the preparations, every student should design their own time-table. An effective study plan helps students to complete the entire syllabus on time. Therefore, plan accordingly, including the study material, number of subjects, the total number of hours remaining and amount required to be studied every day.
Collect all the required study materials, important notes, NCERT text books, and other reference material. Take the practice of writing an answer under exam conditions, without any break. So that you can know and manage the time limit for each question.
Apart from the class notes, students can also download free CBSE Study Materials from different educational websites freely to prepare thoroughly and score well. Once, after preparing, review your syllabus and cross check whether you have covered all the topics.
Always do practice by writing rather than reading because by writing the answer will be clearer. Try splitting the answer into points, by which you can remember the answer very easily. Read the textbooks first as direct questions will be asked from textbooks in the board exams and make a note of important points which you come across while studying.
Start your preparations early in the morning in a fresh mood. If possible, try to complete studying a month before the exams and give time for revisions. Make sure to have a group discussion with your friends. This is the right way to increase your confidence level before the exams and you may also learn few important points other than your regular notes.
Clear all the doubts by meeting experts or teachers. Solve model papers, question bank questions, sample papers every day, as most of the questions are repeated in the exams.
Solve all the mathematical concepts just by revising the study material provided by your class teacher or coaching institute. Try to learn as many formulas as possible and find some shortcuts. Practice as many problems as possible. Referring more NCERT solutions will help to score well both in Maths and Science.
Revise the running notes, practice the model papers, important questions, practice writing and spending more time in recalling and discussing the topics, answers, definitions, formulae, and equations. Refer and solve more sample papers.
Stop all the unnecessary activities during the study hours. For e.g. – stop messaging or chatting with your friends, etc. Avoid stress and negative thoughts.
Apart from these tips, students should also have a regular break, an adequate sleep, healthy diet and regular workout as it boosts your metabolism and sets your brain into action.
All the best.
